Ran up to the park today, the crowds are finally gone and winter is starting to settle in. Didn't have the best skies today so I went for some color in the water.

    Ed,

Nice images! I really like the way you captured the frost and the blue and gold tones in the second one. thumb.gif

Very nice Ed. You are so lucky living close to that park.

Lucky dawg, you :-) Having such a place just outside your backyard - and all for yourself... mwink.gif

How late in the day were you shooting to get those colors? I'm guessing towards sunset but not quite that late. I usually end up leaving before dark sets in but may have to start staying later.

Love... LOVE... the concept in #2. The blue/orange shade/sunrise thing is neat... I've seen a number of photos that do that with water.

I'd print the second one large and hang it on a wall. Simply breathtaking!

Sweet shots. They remind me of Lake Tenaya for some reason. Is it?

Ed, these are really, really nice. I love the composition of the second one - the split between hot/cold (pink/blue) brings all kinds of yin yang references to mind.

The first is lovely as well.

Good job and thanks for sharing these.

Great eye for color in these Ed. The split color in the second really make the shot. What WB setting did you use in the second?

    Thanks Everyone,

The WB setting was set on Auto. :)

The 2nd was shot from Gates of the Valley, looking into the Merced River, the light orange you see is the evening sun reflecting off of El Cap.
