Setting AF points on the 1D(s) and the 10d

I ran into this tip in another forum. It suggests you can set the "X" and
"*" buttons to autofocus using the center AF point or all points automatically.

Setting these custom functions changes the AF from the shutter to these two
buttons. Possibly a pain to learn but a great way to select the method you use
to focus with. In servo mode you must keep either depressed to track your
subject.

I'm going to give it a whirl.
