I re-took some pics of the barn out by Castle Hot Springs at dusk. Lighting was still quite bland.

So, I thought a B&W, sepia treatment might work. What do you think? This is a comp of 2 images (sky and foreground), chanel mixer for B&W conversion, then some selective color, curves and contrast.

I did the work in the upsampled 20x16 file, so it lost a little detail resizing it back down to 800, but there should still be enough detail. I'm wondering also if it's too dark - how does it look on other monitors?

Snapper - IMHO it's a lot better than your last Castle Hot Springs barn post.

I like the silhouetted saguaro (i think) on the ridge to the left, the open fence, and the way the bard turned out. The image works very well for me clap.gif

    Barn
    Thanks.

I was wondering, any comments on this treatment of the image?
Again, some of the detail has been lost in the conversion for web.

The desaturation looks great...with the color added only to...what I believe...is your main focus. Good job.
