A few months ago, I was invited out to a cattle ranch in the Northern Territory in Australia. It was my first time in the true outback and had an absolute blast!:ivar

Bullo is about 800 km south of Darwin. Truely in the middle of no-where!

From Bull catching, Barramindi fishing, and drifitng down a croc infested gorge it was definately a holiday to remember!

Loved the sights in the gorge

Misty dawn at a nearby billabong

The night sky was absolutely stunning! With no man made light to the horizon in all directions, the stars just came right out!

Interesting bushes

Catching a large barra!

They're all stunners, Mat. What an amazing place. But I gotta tell ya. That night-sky shot is off the charts. I guess that cloud shape is the Milky Way?

Beautiful shots, thanks for sharing them. I particularly like the night sky. I was stunned by a sight just like that last July when I was in Oz. I saw almost everything but the Northern Territory. Thanks, again!

I agree, totally jaw-dropping. I've never seen the sky like that... Guess I need to go to Australia! :D

Absolutely fantastic shots. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Sorry to repeat it, but the night sky is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

Looks like you had a great time.

    Thanks
I like the first picture in particular, a real action shot. It reminds me of some of the things we got up to in the ten years we lived in Territory. (pre Tracy)

Beautiful capture of a nebula in your night sky shot. I am not up on the southern hemisphere. Do you know which one it is.

No I don't. Sorry mate. All I could do was just gasp when I looked up at the night-time sky! :oogle
