I have read that others have experienced the same effect that I am getting. On my SM pages (where it is the most noticable to me) all of my bold fonts look blurry/fuzzy and fat. On a PC it seems fine, I did not notice it until I moved to OS X.

Has anybody found a fix?? It is driving me crazy. Are my settings some how off? I have recently moved to Mac, so I may be missing something.:scratch

    There is a setting somewhere that you can adjust the font weight. I'm not in front of my mac right now but if you search in the help you should be able to find it.

    I had to adjust mine when I got my mac too.

    System Preferences>Appearance.

    Check the settings at the bottom of that window.

    Thanks guys but...
    I found the setting you mentioned and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference (on SM) no matter the setting. My current settings are: Medium - Best for Flat Panel and 9 is the size smoothing stops (I have an iBook).

    Anything else I should look at??

    In both FF and Safari. Safari does sharpen the Gallery box title slightly better, but the galley names are still hard to read. I have tried the browser settings to no avail. Could it just be my display?

    Try a screengrab, and maybe we can see what you're talking about?

    cmd-shift-4 and then lasso the area you want to grab.

    Are the fonts you're trying to display smaller than 9 point? I have mine sent for 8 point, although I'm not sure I remember why. Try turning the smoothing on for 4 point and smaller, see if that helps and then you can work your way up.

    Okay, here is a screen shot.
    I am looking at the album/categort titles in white and the green topic header welcoming you to the site. Notice how they are hard to read - the letters see to blur into each other. It shows exactly the same way on my iBook. The Nav is fine it is just the titles.

    They are different fonts on a Mac and on a PC.

    Mac= American Typewriter.
    PC = Georgia (first choice) or Trebuchet if Georgia is not available.

    Try this in your CSS, see if you like the albumTitles

    #albumTitle .nav {font-weight: normal;}

    tried it, but to no avail
    is there a way to use a conditional statement?
    IF mac ....? or could it just be my local font setting.

    Try this one - the ! is needed to override the theme, I think.

    #albumTitle .nav {font-weight: normal !important;}

    Still no go...
    Andy, thanks for the continued help, I have tried both versions of the css statements with no change. Is there a way to force use of a font family? I made a an attempt at it , but again it didn't change anything. Thoughts?
