I'm sorry if this is old news, but I am so impressed I wanted to share the info.

I have a 430EX and a Sto-Fen diffuser that slides over the top of the flash. Nice for low ceilings, but not to good in open spaces. From a previous 35mm system, I have a Lumiquest Pocket Bounce and a Soft Box as well, both of which attach with double-sided tape velcro.

The trouble is if I attach velcro, I can no longer use the Sto-Fen. What to do? While searching Lumiquest's site, lo and behold, they have a "cinch strap," which, for lack of a better description, is a rubber band with loop material on one side. You just pull it around your flash head and secure it with the hook portion of the velcro. Holds the Pocket Bounce and the Softbox nice and secure, all for $6.95.

I did a search on the forum, but didn't find this mentioned. Just thought I would pass it along for those who didn't know about it.

It may be old news to others, but it's new news to me. Thanks for the lead, I've been kinda looking for something like this for some time.

It's a great concept & works very well. I've had one ofthose for a while now...just need a Canon flash instead of a Nikon flash to start using it again. rolleyes1.gif

That does make it easier! Too late for me though eek7.gif

I use mine by putting the velcro for the Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer further 'up' the flash head. I just leave enough for the Stofen Omni Bounce to grab hold.

I was thinking about this the other day...

Out of all the 'bouncers' and 'defusers' I have, I still grab the Lumiquest over them all. The combination of great effect and portability easily make them my favorite. Much more pleasing than the Omni Bounce in my opinion and certainly much easier to carry than my Gary Fong Lightsphere.

For $20 I recommend giving it a try.
If every keystroke was a shutter press I'd be a pro by now...
