Edit: Winning Pop Art portraits are now up at the end of this thread. Take a look and let me know what you think of the results...

Hi!

You may have already seen my post about the new online venture I have started which allows users to turn their photos into canvas-printed pop art portraits... No? Check it out at PascoePopArt.com.

Anyway, being new and all, we're looking for a bit of inspiration for our online gallery... we want to add some really striking and interesting portraits. So I'm opening it up to Dgrinners to help us funk up our gallery! Post any fun, interesting, crazy shots here that you think would look good as pop art. We're going to choose our favourite, turn it into pop art and send it out to the winner (free of course!). Plus, we'll feature the top 3 in our online gallery for our customers to view and vote on. There are regular prizes for the top customer pop-rated portraits in the gallery.

So post your pics here now!

Rachel.

    Looking good!
thumb.gif Awesome! What a fantastic little cross-section of dgrinners we have seen so far!

So my favourite so far would have to be 'mongrel'.... Oh so serious, but I like the hard stare and there's a lot of detail in the face that we can draw from. 'RedJ' - what a beautiful shot of a very beautiful animal (I have Boxer cross!), I think this would make a pretty awesome Pop Art portrait as well.

Andyman, that's cool just as it is!

I loved all the others as well... just not a fan of the sunglasses for Pop portraits. Let me know if you think otherwise.

I'd love to see a few more portraits on this thread. We're running it until Christmas Eve, so if you haven't put yours up yet, do it soon!

And for a little inspiration, here is our latest addition to the gallery which is my new favourite...

    Runners Up....
    Almost forgot!

Runners up are Jawak and Froglady! We'll get your portraits done also sometime in January and feature them in our online gallery. You'll be able to view them online, and (more importantly!) vote for your portrait. We're going to be running little competitions for the most voted portraits in 2007 so keep in touch!

    image24.jpgimage24.jpg

I really like this one! The black, grey and white are really quite striking and this would look fantastic printed on canvas and hung on the wall.

This was based on the photo submitted by one of the runner's up and will be featured in the online gallery at PascoePopArt.com. Check it out!
