Beautiful effect! By the way, the plural of church is "churches". Church's would be singular possessive. ;)
Canon 30D and some stuff for it :wink

Wow, IR works REALLY, REALLY well with gothic churches. thumb.gif Super cool and spooky. I bet you could make a "goth" calendar out of images like this. Very cool. I know nothin about IR, so except saying "ohhhhh pretty" I can't contribute much.

Thanks for posting, these are great!

I like #3 and #6 the best. Do you purposely add the soft look/glow with a Gaussian overlay or is that the focus you are getting from the camera?

Strange how IR can make a perfectly pleasant church look so spooky! I really enjoyed them though-- very good pics. I especially like the first one-- that arch is gorgeous.

    Hi

Thanks for all the generous comments.I'm glad so many people like them.

Erich-I add the blur to some photos in post processing.I normally create a second layer and add a gaussian blur of about 25.I then change the blending mode to either multiply or screen and then adjust the layer opacity to get the effect that I'm after.

    Cheers

Thanks Gary. I suspected that was the case but wanted to make sure. I've heard that depending on the way it's done and what camera you are using you can get in a situation where the IR wavelengths focus at a different point than the visible wavelengths causing a soft focus effect. The 20D is a camera I may someday convert to IR....

First two are pretty "meh" to me. Didn't really feel anything special.

The third one, and many of the subsequent ones, where you added blue color back to the sky... I really like. #3 and #6 (with the tree on the left) are my favorites.
