Owning the Canon 350D .. and needing a bit more power from the flash ..
Does anyone make a set up like the Metz 60CT system for an XT?
Whereby, the flash is off to one side, mounted on a bracket, which is mounted
under the camera? Would I need some sort of hot shoe adapter, seeing as I have no PC connection?

Just curous .. because, I like that set up quite a bit, and am very used to it ..

Just remember that digital is unforgiving of exposure error. Think transparency when you shoot to understand the difference, except that with transparencies, I generally underexposed a bit. With digital, it's better to stay closer to the optimal exposure and "not" overexpose or underexpose. (Stay to the right when possible, but protect those highlights).

I believe the Canon 1D series and the Nikon D2 series are much better about resisting clipping the highlights than other cameras, even from the same manufacturers.
