    Most of those scouts were there to watch the opposing pitcher as he threw up to 89 mph. So my son got the spin-off effect of being seen as well.

    He has received several calls from colleges and universties; only one has offered any money. He needs to throw harder than the 83 mph he is at now to get more serious offers. But he is a lefty so 86 mph would be good.
