Outside again

I tried my hand at some macro shots of the berry bushes outside. Unfortunately I ran into the major problem of not having a tripod. One of these came out of focus when I moved ever so slightly, but it was enough to change the focus. Either way lesson learned and tell me what you think of these two.

2: This was the one that I twitched. I wish I could have gotten the camera closer to my face to stabilize, but the bush had thorns and I already cut up my hands badly.

Cool shots. The drop of water really makes the shot stand out.

I wish I could have gotten the same texture from the first shot on the second shot. But now I'm conflicted between a monopod and a tripod. Mono allows for versitility and some descreteness which is what I want. I'll start going downtown and shooting candids with the nice 10x (380mm) I've got so I'll want stability but also good movement. I'm also poor so a mono looks better right now than a tripod.
