Cuaght this fox today hunting in the tall grass alongside a marsh. Looks like something got at his tail. It was cool watching him hunt. Also my first Bigma hand held shot at 800 ISO.

Nice shot of an elusive critter. thumb.gif

Just curious, but why did you use such a small aperature, F14? It seems you could have acheived that shutter speed at a larger aperature which would have allowed you to use ISO400 or even 200. The resulting shallower DOF would have isolated your subject better too. You have a lot of the ground in focus which you really don't need. Just a thought.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

i shot in tv mode to get the fastest shutter i could get and used ISO 800 in combo with this because i never hand held this lens before and i wanted to make sure i got the shot. didn't know how long he was gonna stick around to let me photograph him. i only was able to shoot 3 shots before he took off. that was my main reason. i will do more and experiment more as i pratice more hand holding. thanks for the tips though.
