Hey there Luckydog ......... love those Pelican shots.
My youngest brother goes camping down the beach not far from my place and those Pelicans will come right up to people Caravans and Tents looking for food.

I will be going down to the beach where they camp this year to see if I can get some close-ups of them this time around.

*** Does anyone know why some are more colourful around the face than others??? is it a male/female thing, or just different breeds???

Thanks for sharing, your series is very colourful too ... Skippy (Australia)

Most adult pelicans have breeding plumage (bright and pretty) and non-breeding plumage (a bit more drab). Juveniles are usually pretty drab looking as well.

Those were great pelican pics...love the first one. :D
