Shooting The Sun - No Filters

As many of you know, Australia is currently experiencing some really bad fires, and down in Victoria where I live we have quite a few burning out of control.

Yesterday for most of the day there was a thick blanket of smoking hanging over much of the Peninsular, visibilty was the distance of just a few houses, which had me wondering just how close were these fires ???? :dunno ..... the smoke has travelled for many miles, but it had you wondering if the fires were in fact a lot closer.

I took this shot of the Sun going down over the back fence, you can even see the HotSpot.

    cool shot of the sun......

    Hope you're ok, saw the fires on the news this evening ,they look pretty bad....

    We're fine where I am, the fires are not down this far, but its something that happens just about every year, we just pray that no lives are lost.

    Hi Sandy....... we are only two weeks into our Summer, we have several months to go and traditionally now is not the hottest part of our summer, that is yet to come, we need rain real bad this drought is pretty bad, we're on stage 4 water restrictions now, never ever ever have we been on Level 4 before. ......
