I was an invited guest to a company holiday weekend. Afterwards we went to Big Sur.

Thanks for the comment and for looking at my gallery. I had so many favorites it was difficult to choose. Rayna was reading the menu at the Carmel Black Bear Diner and told me there's one in Monterey also.

It's been awhile since we were able to take that drive. Except for the pouring rain in the morning it was a nice day... but I bet the rain had a lot to do with the fog/clouds which made me gasp when I spied it. Rayna (my daughter) groaned... knowing I'd want to stop at all the pullouts... but she was a good sport.

I was hoping to get down by Hearst Castle so we could see the Elephant seals, but Rayna was tired (I was too) and she wanted to get back home before it was too late. I'm thinking I should get Ed up early and we can do a day trip...

I know what you mean...hard to resist those pullouts! But it can be a drag to a kid. I always got mine interested by telling them they could throw rocks. :D

I think it's mating season now.... Should be lots of them there!

Once I saw the fog/clouds you can bet I had a great time! My daughter would drive to an overlook, I'd get out of the car, walk a few feet and shoot! Easy as can be! :-)

    If you like twisty roads
    Fantastic Pictures!

on the edge of an ocean, mountains, and nice places to pull the car over... you'll be happy.

Drive further south near Hearst Castle and there's a place where Elephant Seals hang out on the beach every month, except October. Cambria is a neat little town if you like arts and crafts.

For the brave there are roads you can take inland, if I was into motorcycles I'd love to take some of those. I'm too chicken to take my car (too close to the ground).

Hi Dee, I see you made a change to the A100, looks like about November. I'm curious - what prompted your move and how did you settle on the Sony? (I'm an 828 user as well - very happy with it except for not high f/stops).

Great photos - I'm from SoCal and miss the ride up PCH greatly (on a motorcycle, that is...)!
