I am trying to figure out the best way to produce some tee shirts for my daughter's softball team which would have the team photo and name of the team on the front and names of the players on the back. I would appreciate advice on the best way to do this, and if the best way is to have them produced by a service, which ones do a good job. We had them done at a local shop, but they misspelled one of the girls names. We also noticed that since the shirts were very light grey, the picture was a little dark. When we asked them to reprint them on white, they were not interested in trying again. We didn't pay for the first batch and I guess they were concerned about screwing it up again.

I guess they were screen printed. You could kind of see the fabric lines in the photo. Is this the best method or should we be trying something else?

thanks,
Joe

I need printing on both sides, which I don't think smugmug offers. Also, are they screen printed and is that the best way to print photo's on a shirt, or should I be thinking of something else, like iron on transfers?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I know Zazzle does both front and back of t-shirts. I have done about a dozen shirts, 6 different designs through them.

How was the quality overall, and how did the photo look?
    Thanks

I did a set of t-shirts using customink.com and I was very happy with the results. I do know that they allow printing on both sides, and the ability ot upload your graphics. They also have quite a large variety of options for shirt styles, colors, and quality. They might be worth checking out.

I have ordered one shirt from zazzle and will order more if it looks good. I'll let everyone know how it is when it gets here.

The shirt came today. It was $20.78 including shipping. It came out very good. I'll try to post some pics in a day or so. It is a Hanes white tshirt with the photo and caption on the front and players names on the back.
I will be ordering about 20 more and they will be cheaper, as you get a better price for bigger volume and free shipping, which was about $5 on the first shirt.

The picture looks very good, although you can't really call it photo quality because the fabric lines take away from the sharpness. But I am satisfied and would certainly recommend them.

An update on the zazzle tee shirts. The first one was great, as I said above, so I ordered 20 more on Sunday. They arrived today and unfortunately don't match the quality of the first. It looks like they did something wrong in the printing. They say the quality is guaranteed and I guess I will find out how well that part of the process works. I have emailed them and told them I want to return them for replacements. Hopefully the next run will be better.
