Ok, I'm following the tutorial. I click on new thread. Then when the message area comes up, I click on the little postcard that means "insert image". Up pops another little dialog box asking me to put in my url. But while this little dialog box is up, I can't paste or access the menus or anything else but type in the url. I want to paste in the url that I just copied, but can't access the menus. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Jim

yes, Andy, I understand and could type it in, but would prefer to paste. I can't see having to always type that out every time. That little dialog box is keeping me from accessing the menus to paste, I think? Thanks

You can paste without the menu by typing ctl-v on Windows or Commnand-v on a mac while the cursor is in the dialog box. Just make sure that you have copied the URL to the clipboard before you open the dialog box.

I use the key commands to paste when the window pops up, command+v on a mac.

I thought you might have it but, nope. I'm on a pc and ctrl-c does nothing when that little box is up. Nothing happens.

ctrl-v is paste, try that after you have the url already copied to your clipboard with ctrl-c :)

Sorry if I confused you. I meant to put ctl-v in my post, but put ctl-c instead. I have edited since. Ctl-v will solve your problem.

sorry, I meant ctrl-v. And good news. It works if I do it twice. The first time, no good. Wierd. But all is well. Thanks all
