nice job Rod, I really like the expression (and action) you caught on the 2nd. Out of curiousity, shooting at f/1.8, what is your relative % of in focus shots? I know from my soccer shooting that it can often be difficult to follow the action and always get the (face of the) player and that's between f/4 and f/5.6!

I can usuall keep at least 50% of my shots at 1.8...I try to be kind of selective on what I shoot just so I don't have to go through tons of pics that are not in focus...
I have to be at 1.8 or 2.0 to get my shutter speed where I want it ...

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Good pictures. I'm a fan of cropping as much as possible to get right into the action. There's a lot of distracting background that can be taken out. Also, you could brighten it up a tad and desaturate a little as there seems to be lots of orange.

    Great Photos.

I had heard about Noise Ninja before--but just saw your comment about using Neat Image. So, I Just downloaded the demo version and ran a shot through it real quick. Great results. Guess we'll all be using something with the winter, indoor shots and high ISO settings...

    Thanks guys...

Shawn I understand - I usually leave some room for cropping later. I like
your crop ! I like the tight crops also...

Will - Yea maybe it's just me or maybe I don't have the right equipment but
I usually have to run most pics through Neat Image that I take in the
    gym....
