Our local club recently had a feild trip to learn more of the various ways of shooting water falls. This shot of mine won the next print competition and I am pretty pleased with it. There were comments on the water being too "Milky" and fortunately, a lot more liked it this way. I would be interested to hear some comments on what others feel is the "Right" amount of flow and methods of shooting water falls. The framed 12x18" print looks great on our wall even if I do say so myself.

Looks great. There is plenty detail in the water forming lines that have not mushed into a white mess.

How about that log in the top left. Looks like a croc to me...

Thanks for mentioning the log. I didn't want to point it out to see if it was as obvious to others as it was to me when I shot this. I love that "he" has legs as well and seems to be enjoying his leap over the falls!mwink.gif

I appreciate your comments, thank you.

As Bod said, there is enough detail in the water that is works nicely in this shot. But mostly that is personal opinion. Some like the water frozen in time, others like it silky smooth. I think it depends on the image, and for this one silky works well.

But I like the shot too and don't think that there's too much milk flowing over those rocks.
