Here is a one image HDR saved as three tiffs then tone mapped. Wish I knew how to keep the noise out of these.

Very cozy, and at web resolution, noise is imperceptible. Wonderful picture.

That mango sure looks good. When we were kids, we would visit my Dad's Aunt Gracie in Florida. She had a mango tree in her backyard. It was loaded with mangoes and chamilions. We would spend hours in that tree eating mangos and catching those little buggers.

Nice shot of the Capitol. Have you gotten any of the Denver Courthouse lit up for the holidays? I haven't had a chance to head down there after dark.

This is a boatload of Suzuki violineers (my daughter amongst them) playing Caroles last weekend on the River.

I was kind of lucky with this shot.

Charla-- regretfully, no, I haven't shot the civic center yet. The night I went to shoot the capitol it was meant to be a 2-for-1 trip-- but they didn't have it lit! At all! Not even street lights!!! Some time after Christmas I'll make the trip.

Not to belabor the point, but IMO, the Minolta lenses have the best bokeh in the industry, forget Canon,(which I own), Nikon, and the God-like Leica glass (Which does take the sharpness medal).

Merry Christmas! Or whatever you want to celebrate! Just do it, as they used to say
    118668420-L.jpg

This was also shot at 800 ISO. F5.6, 400mm Prime, 1/4000
It was a dark and gloomy day on Friday. I was looking for this bird
to fly, I put it on a "safe" ISO. I used my Canon 30D. As long as I don't grossly underexpose, I don't have "noise" problems at 800. Underexposure gives me much more noise than a higher ISO.

(The clip art, lol, was not shot, but it came as gif, that was a surprise, didn't know what to do with it at first. Learn something all the time, even at my age) Smile!
Have a Great Day, week, and enjoy the rest of the year!!!

I like this shot a lot!!! If it was luck, it was the best kind of "luck".

And my daughter's name is Julie, but she signs things "Jules", too, smile.

    All the best!
