Santa came a little early this year (or maybe I just opened my presents a little early :rolleyes), bringing me a 30D and a 400 5.6 to go with it. I haven't had much time to get out, but these are some early 'tester' shots. I'm finding the lens to be very sharp, and the camera/lens combo to be much faster than my prior equipment.

Congrats on your new equipment, good shots too. I would try upping the contrast and probably applying an 's' curve to the shots.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Beautiful shot of the coyote. I have tried many times to get close enough with no results yet.

You will never know sharpness like it again kevin. My favourite camera & lens. I use it as a walk around just for a different perspective on life.thumb.gif

    Kevin...

won't be long before you have a 1.4 tc (make sure to get one that will autofocus with the pins taped) and from your first shots here, i'm sure we'll see many many more keepers. best of luck with the new gear...
