This is KAM and I'm in the process of transferring all my "Old Family" (50 yrs old) pictures to CD'S (Mitsui Gold's). This is my problem: when I open a folder under "My Pictures" I can see the pictures....but then there will be one or two icons that have what looks like a sunset on top of a piece of paper which is ear tailed with the caption under the photo that I wrote...so, when I click to open this ...NOTHING. I can't move it, delete it or edit the caption either...looks like the photo was corrupted? Will using the "restore" function bring these back and is that worth it to do? Question: what can I do if anything to get those photos back? I had to re-scan some but I lost about 5 photos in total. Oh mercy I have so much to learn....Thanks so much for your help and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas

Kindest Regards

Kathleen

What type of files are these that seem corrupted? .JPG, .TIF, RAW's?
