All taken with my MPE-65 between 3:1 and 5:1 magnification. Amazing beauty in many of these tiny parasitic wasps.

Holy cow those are good! What is the surface those last few are on? Maybe a car with silver metallic paint?

Such incredible beauty in such tiny packages. (I just know one of those beasties is going to fly up my nose and make me sneeze.)

    Awesome as usual!

Nice series Brian - that yellow one looks really cool, haven't seen one like that. The first is interesting with the way it bends the body to deposit the eggs - rather different to ichneumons.

(I see your car is as good an attractant as ever :D)

Thanks for the kind comments. :D
As Al knows the silver surface is my car. Not sure why bugs seem to like it- think most of it, especially with bugs this size, is that I can spot them in the first place. It's also a good surface from the photography point of view as it reflects light nicely but more importantly allows me to take pics around 4:1 magnification by resting the lens on the car. Pity in some ways these wasps are so small but most of them perform useful functions by parasitising other pests.
