portrait for waxy
On another forum, waxy made a comment about the subject of this portait being "a doll"... I had done this one a while back, and wished I had submitted it for the portraits challenge (not sure if it was even eligible). Regardless, here she is, Mrs. It - in full pajama night time relaxing mode... only with a little PS glamourizing:
she doesn't need much help in that department, but how'd I do? this was kind of a first try at touching up. too obvious?

Are we allowed to say who she is?

It looks like a pretty good job. One thing that I would normally do for beauty is lighten/whiten the eyes. Might be a little odd in this one, as the eyes are already drawing attention, but try selecting the whites, pulling back the saturation a touch and pushing the brightness a bit.
And maybe a tighter crop?
BTW: beautiful woman.

And of course waxy, if you look through my smugmug, it's no secret that the subject is my girlfriend. She goes by T.
David nailed it, if I did any enhancement to her eyes, it'd be too much. I'll keep that method in mind, the book I have has a section on it, but seemed more complex than yours. I agree a tighter crop would be good, but this shot was all I had on hand right now. Maybe I'll revisit this one later.

That's a nice shot of your girlfriend! :-)
Heheheh... First of all, let me say that I agree on the whole point about girls with 'big eyes': they sure do steal one's attention!
Before I forget, your photo reminds me of a certain photographic 'advice' I got once. It doesn't make much sense for me (take a look at my snaps and you'll see that), but it may for you: in portraits, you should either only one of the eyes and the nose pointing to the side (a full side profile) or, if you want both eyes on the picture, the nose shouldn't be pointing to the side. Heheheh... I can kind of see the point of that for classical portraiture, but in certain situations (this one, for instance) I think it doesn't work. Well, you be the judge here... :-)
Thanks so much for sharing!
Take care!
