Birds, Common

See the male cardinal up in the tree, he is freezing to death, so his feathers are all puffed out. I loved that. Julie's house was so cold it seemed to me, I wore a coat inside the whole time I was there...........and here was this bird, just all puffed up.
Now down on the ground, it must have been warmer. No one was puffed up there.

This is my absolutely favorite photo of the front yard birds. (Ann, I like your feeder better than Julie's. It shows the birds off nicely. She has several feeders, maybe I will send her a picture of yours.
I just could not take this bird out of the center. I loved those little birds, this is my "best" photo, and I like the little bitty bird in the center of all that space with just winter tree branches. I wrote the message for you all, I have one without a message. g

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

I have never seen a cardinal in real life! Funny, isn't it! They sure are beautiful!
I don't mind the centering of that little bird (is it a tufted something or other?) one bit - it is very nicely framed by the branches.
