This is nice. The "non-centering" is very well done. You daughter is still the focus of attention as everything is OOF and the OOF is very well done. The lighting on your daughter's face is spot on. Her attention is into the open space, providing the impression that she is enjoying something just out our view. Like I said, well done!
I love this snap. What a great seasonal pic. I think I am going to go with that as insp and get one similar of my 11 yod. I love the DOF and the look of the color lights.

If I were to nit-pick I would suggest a little fill-flash would have softened the shadows on her face.

I agree. I was having technical difficulties with my flash that night therefore all the light was provided by a city street light high above us.
