Not sure if this works?

I took this on a walk yesterday, and I'm not sure if it works or not:-

It certainly grabs me, but I find myself wishing that there was just a bit more green at the bottom, maybe double the distance from the (trees? shrubs?) to the bottom. Is a re-shoot possible?

I like it! The range of colour in the sky is great.

    Certainly matches your screen name!

    Nice colors
I noticed a photo trend several years ago of photos taken like this. Approximately 1/8 at the bottom and 7/8 plain at the top... I never could get into it. :-) (whatever happened to a simple smilie face in the smilies selection???)

I'd like more interest at the bottom too. I do like the colors, they're great.

Thanks for your comments everyone, not wishing to spoil the illusion but there is unfortunately a row of houses immediately below the bottom crop line.

I agree it would work better with a bit more land at the bottom, I'll go back with a different lens and see what can be done as I think there's a good shot there somewhere.

Great color, contrast. How about if you crop it just above the clouds?

I agree that a little more grass on the bottom would be good, but not a whole lot if you want to retain the stylish composition. The whole thing reminds me of a Peter Max painting a bit. Maybe you could paste a yellow submarine in there somewhere. :D

    Nice work, Charlie.

Excellent for a stock photo in advertising! Nice large upper area for text.
I would remove the wispy cloud a third of the way down from the top.

Well... For what its worth... i LOVE it... Love all that BIG space... it breaks many rules... but as i have always been told... "rules are for the obeyience of fools and guidence of wisemen".

I could see this as in an advertising campaign for healthy living/food/natural foods etc....

    Top marks.

Wow, thanks everyone for your kind comments, I must admit having recently started to contribute to Alamy I did have my stock photo hat on when I took this image. As this location is only 5 minutes from my home I intend to pop back ASAP and try and fine tune the composition (weather permitting.)
