I was out looking for some machinery images and took this shot. While playing around with this one in PS I came up with this.
Don't think I'll enter this version but I still think it looked interesting.

Cool, has a bit of that wierd PSed look to it...

What would be really cool, is if you could pull a shot off similar to this, with the sunset behind, so that you have a sillouette of the cranes...

Also, Out of curiousity, where did you take that? I've not seen that many cranes in one place around here...(I'm from Colfax)

    Good luck!

Taken on Mare Island in Vallejo.
It was a way over done Levels setting but it looked kinda cool to me. If you're in Colfax...wanna get together sometime to burn up some film...(so to speak)

Personally, I love this shot. I don't know if it would fare well in the challenge, but I find the drama of the partial silhouettes against a dark blue sky along with the lighting and limited, but saturated, colors very appealing. It does look more like graphic art than a photograph but what an interesting change from cogs, wheels and gears (not that I have anything against cogs, wheels and gears)! Thanks for sharing.

I like it. Would fit great in a corporation's annual report.

    Dramatic
It's certainly dramatic. I've got to get over to Mare Island, wherever it is :-)

I like it. The colors work really well together. It's funny, when I first saw the title for this challenge the first thing that popped into my head was cranes, now I see them all over the place. Have a great morning

Though it does have a little too much blue to it, I still like it. It does something for me. Good silhouette too.
