I've made nice 8x10's from my 10D, is it possible to get a high quality 11x14 from the same? What has been the experience of others in this regard?
Just wondering. Thank you!

I have made a 20x30 from a full resolution 10D file at iso 1600. Came out fine.

    Hi Sara,

I'm afraid you've become victim to the great megapixel myth. You can print a billboard sized photo with your 10D, it's all about viewing distance. The short answer is yes, you can print 11x14, 12x18, even 20x30 from your 10D :D

Thanks, Andy. The question is more about quality. Can I get a good quality 11x14. Nice hat, btw. :D

If the image is good to begin with, it'll be a good print. Like I said, I made a 20x30 image shot from a 10D at iso 1600 and it was great (though, I do think 24x36 might have been a bit much). This was the image by the way.

Andy is correct as usual! bowdown.gif
Size of blowups based on pixels is just a myth.

I got nice 11x14's from my old Sony FD97 and it was only 2.1mp.
So the Canon 10D is more than capable.

I printed numerous, grainless 13 x19 inch images with 'out of the camera' jpgs from my 10D. RAW images should do even better.
