The night the power went out

The power went out with a bang and sparks outside. I put my shoes on and headed out with my camera to see what was up.
There were bricks pulled down from the paramount theater. I thought a car hit, but the carnage continued down the side street
The power polls all down the street were sapped or broken and only being held up by the wires
The firemen setup a generator and started plugging in lights so they could see what they were doing, it was so dark on the street.
In the background off on the right you can see the culprit, a huge tree fell over and across the street taking out the power lines and maybe even that car, I could not get close enough to tell. The tree is about two blocks from the theater and three blocks from our house.
There was a small fire but it never got too big, I heard it was transformer oil burning. There was transformers dripping all down the street, and one was sitting on the ground, ripped out of it's housing.
By the time I got home, Jen had lit about ten candles and we enjoyed a quiet two nights without power. Other than no internet access, we did pretty good considering. We have been prepared for a number of years with a good supply of 6 hour candles and flashlights with charged batteries.
Of course with no lights outside, I put the camera on ISO 3200, f/1.8, and 1/30th of a second and tried to utilize the lights from the emergency personnel.
