Picture Packages

I've recently learned how to use the Picture Package feature of Photoshop, and how to define my own package. I have a simple question though. Suppose I want to put an 8x10 and two 4x6's on a single sheet. Those zones have different aspect ratios. Will Photoshop crop the image when it places it into a zone (thus filling the zone with image and throwing part of the image away), or will it put the entire image into a zone (and thus having some white space added around the image)?

If it crops in order to fill the zone, is there any way to guide what part of the image is cropped?

I don't know the answer to your question...

But the answer to your question is Portraits and Prints

Even though my machine is only 300, I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!

It's not that difficult to set up an empty template with guide lines and do this yourself, but it's so much quicker if you have an action... I'll have to check the action sites and see if there's anything available.

If you're talking about a Photoshop CS action, open an image, then goto File | Automate | Picture Package. Select a paper size and a layout option. To make your own template, choose the "Edit Layout" button. My big question was what if the image does not have the same aspect ratio as a zone in the template, what happens. So I tried it. PS will not crop the image. Thus, if you try to make a picture package that puts an 8x10 and two 4x6's on a single sheet of paper, that 8x10 will not print properly. I will try the software package suggested.
