My first eagle that did not come out as just a speck. I sure wish I had bigger lens. The 35-105 does not have the oompfh I needed here.
Location: Fish Creek Calgary Alberta Outside temp -24C burrr!

    Hello Tim

I am also freezing in the true north strong and free - up here in Edmonchuk!
I saw a juvenile bald eagle this fall - by the time I could stop the car and try to track him down, all I got was a tiny little spec - the flight shot I got had that typical raptor curled wing,, though - ne_nau.gif
My goal for spring is a lens long enough for birds and soccer!

Where is there open water - only place the NSask is open is by the power plants.

    ann

    and PS
My husbands last name is Burd with a U!

The open water is at the Bow River and a few eagles stay year round as long as the Ducks and Geese stay. Most of the Bow stays ice free.

Here is to Alberta thumb.gif and hoping the wind chill stays away.
