One and three are GREAT. Beautiful composures and EXCELLENT color saturation. The petals on the mid pic are a bit over exposed, though. If you can bring that down a bit, they too, would be great.

    Nice work.

I love all of them, but #1 really stands out to me. I like that one the best. Great shots!

    Beautiful!
#1 GREAT colors, and it looks nice & sharp, too. The orange-brown stems draw my eye off, however. You might try a vertical crop of the center, or some surgery if you're can do patching & cloning in photoshop. I usually shoo off the bugs when I shoot a Flower, but you must have paid these dudes to line up like that - I like it!

#2 Such delicate beauties! Again, they look sharp. Might be a tad OE on the whites. (Do you check the info palatte in PS for the RGB levels? This can help prevent losing detail in hilites) The background tends to distract from the focal point. Opening up a stop can help, as can using a longer lens (what is it BTW?), but I only have one macro myself :-)

#3 Nice job moving in on this one, and I like that it's off center. Good colors - looks like you are geting good balance in your shots and workup. Background clutter again - the critters never seem to land where you want 'em! Nice expression, though - li looks like it's wearing a happy face! :D

Thanks for your insightful comments. I did burn some of the yellow stem away in PS for the print.

I have a 105mm Nikkor macro - love this lens. These were shot on a trip to India...tons of critters everywhere there....its a macro guys paradise...:D.. I wish I can move to the tropics :cry
