Well after some bad weather here in the Toronto area, I managed to get out with the new 400mm L lens and test this baby out. Talk about the weather here in this area. Lots of rain and clouds. Enjoy these shots!
Notice a hitch hiker on the last shot, I think this is a snail taking a ride.

Thanks for your comments on these images and I agree with you on the first image, some how I missed that correction and it must be my glasses that are on crooked. Fixed the image and now it should look fine now.
Thanks again.

Fantastic! The sense of motion, the color, the reflection in the water all make these two wonderful photos.

These guys have that "GOTCHYA" factor with that hood to begin with.
A nice lens makes a HUGE diff with wildlife as I have learned.
You've just scratched the surface!

Hello GraphyFotoz, yes I agree that the lens makes a difference for sure, I had the Canon 100-400mm L IS lens and found it to be too slow for focusing on shots like this. Sold the 100-400 for the 400mm L prime and love that I can focus much faster and capture shots like this with the new lens.
Thanks for the comments on these images, I was happy to see the results of the new lens. Looking forward to getting used to this new toy.
All the Best
