I know it's not fall anymore, but I've been so busy lately I couldn't find time to postprocess some of the photos I took since summer.
Here is a collection of (mainly) panoramas from a road trip in northwestern Slovenia I took in late October:

These photos are all taken in the Kranjska Gora area (for those who know or want to visit the place).
Comments welcome and appreciated! :D

    Hi Ana,

Nice shooting there. I liked your last pic the best. There are a lot of jet trails in your pictures so I guess this area must be relatively close to a major airport. I enjoyed viewing your linked site as well. thumb.gif

Happy Holidays to You !!! :D

I'd say your method of exposure needs some work. The sky changes colors as you go across the shot, which leads me to believe you let the camera set the exposure. The effect is really distracting.

    Thanks, Fred!
Well, an airport (and not a major one by European standards) is about 80km from where I took pictures. Is that close? ne_nau.gifD

Well, I'm not sure how often you shoot landscape and/or panoramas, but the effect you're seeing is quite normal. In landscape panoramas there is bound to be a lot of sky in the photo, and some of it is in the direction of the sun while some isn't, hence the difference in brightness. In my case, the difference was accentuated by the use of a polarizing filter (which I use because it also enhances the colors of the vegetation). Some like the effect and some don't. In any case, it is impossible to have a photo or a panorama, which covers more than about 90° and has an even blue sky in it.
And I don't remember the last time I ever let the camera set the exposure. :D Shooting panoramas, in particular, requires total manual control, including exposure and focus.
    Thanks for your opinion.

Very nice - it must be a blessing to be in such gorgeous surroundings. Around here it's all flat (PA, US). rolleyes1.gif
