December Waterfalls and a Sunset

Haven't posted recently, hope I'm doing this correctly. Travelled to the coast when the weather broke for the better in early December... visited Golden and Silver Falls Park, east of Coos Bay (Oregon) in the Coast Range.

As often happens in winter; when the weather opens up, it's full bore! Harsh lighting conditions with strong shadows; these are a few of the shots I was able to work up with CS2.

This one is quite lovely. Great job catching the rainbow!

I hope you don't mind I played at teeny-tiny bit in photoshop. The image was appearing a bit warm (yellow) on my screen.

    Thanks Phyxius
Your "playing around" was a good idea! thumb.gif

The two Golden falls images were tweaked in the new CS3 (beta) version of Camera Raw; which now allows you to load regular .tif & .jpg images and process them as if they were original Raw files.

I was noticing this morning that my prints from both images were warmer than I liked as well. I decided I prefer the prints from my original CS2 work ups. They are closer to your revised version.

I was planning to replace the two images with my CS2 versions; but before I doing so, I'm now going to play around with them some more in the new camera raw... can you recall what tweaks you made to get your version of the full rainbow image?

    Thanks again,
    Dale
