She is 11..just on 5 feet tall & wears her mothers shoes. I can just sit & stare at her for hour after hour.

Its going to be a game lad that takes her on her 1st date...believe me.

Tks....what a trip how fast they grow.

She asked something the other day & halfway through my deep & meaningful answer she puts her hand on mine...smiles at me gently & says

    "Dad..chill..that was a rhetorical question"

She is gorgeous, Gus. They all look mature beyond their years, don't they? My daughter is 12, 5' 8" (taller than me by a tad) and has outgrown my shoes a while ago! And mine is really full of attitude!

    Look after daddy's little girl!

Humongus, I have found in dealing with my sister's bf's that the guy is much more likely to wet himself if you introduce him to a collection of swords when you first meet him, and give en exhibition show of how good you are at using them. Sister even dumped a guy cause he admitted he almost wet himself.

Got caught *with* a girl by her father when I was 18. Now that was scary! Father says, "Don't you know she is engaged to be married" and I didn't know so I aks the girl the next day where the guy is... She says he is at the Military Police school at Ft Gordon, training MPs in hand to hand combat. Two hours later I was 125 miles away and still going.

HAhahahaaha rolleyes1.gif You're my kinda Dad, Gus. Ain't it the truth that they grow so fast, it's like before you know it, they're grown up and off to college :cry Relish these times, they'll be gone before ya know it.

She's a beauty Gus and keep that shotgun primed.....lol Plus, if you're lucky, you may still have a year or two of intelligence left. By the time she's 13, or so, you will have turned into a complete imbecile, who doesn't have a clue :lol You'll embarass her no matter what you do or say. You will also hear alot of "Oh Dad" responses, uttered in exasperated tones....lol

My little one is 15 and not only does she fit into Mom's shoes, she fits into her bras too :yikes I might have to borrow your shotgun, or buy a bazooka rolleyes1.gif

I can relate, gus...although I would have to add my wedding day to the short list too.

I read once where an old vietnam vet grabbed the boy aside before he left on the 1st date & said .."you know son...the sound of your car after 10 pm will remind me of a chopper coming in low over rice paddy"

    Lovely shot, mate!
    Hey Mark,

I really liked the fact that you shot Madeleine under some very strong light, that's really unusual but I really dig the results, it's a very special picture!

    Thanks so much for sharing!
Take care (of her, too, of course)!

Hey Mark, neat photo (and your daughter is a real beauty!) BTW, How did you get that "glowing" look to it? I'm guessing IR or a gaussian blur in post processing...but however you did it, it looks really cool . Anyhow, hang in there, things tend to settle down once the kids grow up and leave the house. My daughter is almost 26 (next month) and she made me a grandmother 4 years ago! Just so you know...Grandkids are a lot more fun, less stress...and they can go back to their mom's house when they get fussy, Laughing.gif! ~Nee :)

Tks Nee...i have become a slave to PS of late. I think it was just a softening plugin..no IR but it was in full sun at midday & her hair is pure white to start with.
