Camdapter users - help

I got my Camdapter for the Bogen 3157 mount this morning (yay Christmas!). Fit is great, function is wonderful, but I have a concern. On my 3030 head (3-way), I get significant front/back play with the Camdapter on, and none with the original Bogen QR plate. Side to side and twisting motion is nil on both. Anyone else have this issue? I think it's great that Jim made this particular mount (since I don't own any Arca-mount stuff), but maybe not all 3157 mounts are exactly the same?

I don't have a camadapter thingy. But I wonder if your problem isn't that
the bolt hole isn't deep enough or that the adapter plate bolt is too long?

You might try adding a thin piece of rubber as an experiment. A piece of
bike innertube maybe?

I've discussed this with Jim and we have a resolution. Turns out, the 3030 platform is different than the 3229 (my monopod head) just enough that the Camdapter doesn't quite fit right (not sure why - as far as I can tell, they look identical). The difference is in the design of the platform (open vs closed). The clamping arm on the 3030 doesn't squeeze tightly enough, thus allowing the slop I saw. I'll be upgrading to the 488RC2 ball head, so I'm keeping the Camdapter. Just be aware that the 3030 head will probably have fitment issues with the Camdapter for 3157. With the proper Bogen head, the product is absolutely top notch and I have no qualms recommending it. Two pics illustrating the platform difference:
