Some little ones

Well my ducks have finally moved off the front page so I can't post some more :barb, so here are some little birds:

In keeping with the festive spirit, a cheerfully colored bird, the Red Bishop:

The not so festively colored Mrs. Red Bishop taken under terrible weather conditions. (The next four pics were taken at F5.6, showing that sharp pics *are* possible with the Bigma at max aperture.)

    I have found 2 places in so cal to shoot the orange bishop --you really did a great jobb on the exposer with the light being as bright as it looks [was it mid day?] your detail if fantastic thumb.gif very goooood job

    Thanks for the kind words Jeff! The light was quite bright, taken around 8 am (just over 3 hrs after sunrise). Are the bishops you shoot captive birds?

    no they are wild , Ben and I have both posted shots but not as clean as these two thumb.gif

    That's interesting, must be escapees that have adapted. As far as my knowledge goes these are African birds ne_nau.gif

    Al you know how everyone wants to move to so cal eek7.gif well so do the birds :D I did some research they are birds that more than likely got smuggled here but the areas we [Ben and i ] found them fit the area you find them at there --here is one shot I looked up

    Ah yes, definitely the same species! I was lucky enough to get a whole lot closer.
