Hi - I noticed that Vanguard has a sturdy tripod "Tracker" series. As I'm seeking a sturdy tripod for my D50/Sigma50-500 combination, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this product.

The tripod model I'm interested in the Tracker 3 of the series.

Hope to get some feedback.

Thank you.

Nobody? Oh, well I've decided in the meantime to go ahead with the purchase. I ordered mine from a dealer in Arizona as I noticed that prices here are double that of the States.

Here are some particulars for those interested...

    Heavy duty 68 1/2" tripod w/ 3 way panhead:
    • This heavy-duty tripod has features normally found on more expensive tripods
    • Fits most spotting scopes, cameras, & binoculars w/adapters
    • 3 way professional grade panhead w/ quick release mount and secondary safety lock for security
    • Head removes from body for low angle use or attaching optional tripod accessories
    • Center column is removable and reversible for micro photography
    • Shaped foam grips on upper portion of legs for comfortable operation
    • Degree markings on each axis for precise work
    • Heavy duty 28 mm 3 section aluminum alloy construction for durability
    • Legs adjust to 3 different angles allowing for maximum flexibility
    • Sturdy quick release leg locks for fast action
    • Folded length: 30 1/8 inches
    • Extended length: 68 1/2 inches
    • Field weight: 7.64 pounds. Shipping weight: 11 pounds
    • Removable shoulder strap included
Would have preferred some feedback but thought it was worth the gamble (especially considering the price)! Guess I'll provide folks interested with feedback once it has been put through its paces.

    Cheers - Herman
