An Eyefull of Presence
This is the daughter of a young couple I met last summer - I think about 7 months old at the time. I don't do many people pix, but I think I'll go back for more.

I love the soft focus feel of the shot and the beautiful eyes....but....the eyes have no pop and are OOF (too soft). Might be my vision this morning . The overall comp is great and love the expression.

Thanks for the feedback, Swartzy! It was an f4.0 shot, with rt eye being sharp and the left OOFED. I applied considerable sharpening to the left, lightened and increased contrast in the rt eye and the white of the left, and upped the Sat in cyan/blue range.
I stopped there as I didn't want to overdo it. I feel awkward with portraits, and would like to develop more in this area. Any further feedback from other forum members would be appreciated.
I'm new to posting on the net, and I'm seeing noticable loss of contrast in these posts vs the originals - do you increase it a bit when you post your images?
BTW, I lived in the Twin Cities for 23 years before we hit the road in 2003.
Nice place with sp,e great people!
