Morning Prayer

This was taken in a friend's pond last July, where it was nice enough to be close to the edge! The stamen remind me a circle of monks.

Canon 100 mm macro - I think it was hand held & braced.

Comments appreciated!

PS - The preview said there was an attachment, but it did not show up in the window. :dunno

    That's a beautiful, clear capture. It was below the water? If so, and I assume that is what is creating that 'halo' or 'glow' effect, I like the result!

    It was above the surface (hadn't occured to me to look at the other possiblilty!) Glow came from a moderate Gaus blur applied on a separate layer to the petals only. (I like it too! :D )

    Thats a pretty shot, not sure that I like the halo glow though ... it is indeed a very pretty flower :D ...... Skippy

    A beatiful image and an intreging title, very well constructed on both counts. will watch out for future entries !
