Is anyone planning to attend Imaging 2005?
The trade show is Jan 16-18 in New Orleans, more info here.
I have been to two large PPA events in the past and they have a lot of information and vendors. This is a new winter show, their show has regularly been in the summer. I wonder if it will be as good or if having two shows per year will dilute the content, since some vendors may only be able to attend one show? :dunno
I found only this on their website about the summer show. I wonder if the winter will be the same show and the summer a new different show?
I hope to go, but may be working then. I would really like to spend a few days in New Orleans.

Photographic Specialty Week is actually an event combining several of PPA's smaller niche educational events into an easy to attend, week-long event. Joining with PPA this year is IAPEP, the International Association of Professional Event Photographers. They will be hosting 2 days of sports and event photography programming, (SEPCON: Summer Session). For only $125 you will have the opportunity to attend any of the 6 conference tracks, 5 business education programs and a 3 day trade show Expo. This event is smaller than Imaging USA, and will be held at the Hilton, not in the convention center. What really makes it special, besides the really low price, is the educational focus of the programs. Visit http://events.ppa.com for more details.
