Interesting to know your opinions on these.
Dasha is a wonderful pianist. She just finished her post-graduate courses.

I really like #3 of Dasha, and the first two of her sister. Very nice pictures!

I really like Dasha in her third pic- but being as it is my favorite pose of her I'd also like to see it in color because while the others have fabulous lighting I don't like her poses very much... though you sure take a good stab at making drinking water look elegant. :)
Her sister Nastaya first picture (4) I don't like at all Yuri, I'm sorry. It doesn't have any of the beauty we see in the later pictures of her. The angle, the shadow under her eye... I don't know...it makes her look older than she is. The next two are really nice! And I like the conversion you've used on the hair twirling one.
Nice models and lighting as usual Yuri,

    Yuri,
In case you're interested in some C&C:-)
    1. Definitely not. What's that water bottle doing there??
Rule of thumb: cigarettes, bottles, fingers, pretty much anything near the person's mouth should be avoided like a plague...
    2. Nice lighting, but the pose looks very unnatural, model looks stiff...
    3. Best of the three, however the dark bracelet on her left hand (watch?) creates a big distraction in this otherwise more like high-key image, especially in the presentend duotone version.
Another thing here: full frontal light makes the face (and the whole image) to look very flat. Agan, duotone does not help here...:-(
    4. Interesting..:-) Nice bold angle!thumb.gif
    5. It's an OK shot, but does not touch me...
    6. Better than #5, she shows some attitude here:-)
    7. Now we're talking:-)clap.gif
I'm not particularly fond of this duotone treatment since it makes her pale caucasian skin look too dark, but as a whole this image tops off the rest of the series..thumb.gif

#4 is wonderful. They're all good photos, but for some reason, the look and composition and pose on #4 really stand out to me.

I don't mind the bottle in the first one, but I would like some context. Is she thirsty from a long piano performance? That kind of thing.

In all, lovely subjects, lovely lighting, and a nice series. I hope you nailed a couple of 3/4 length and full length shots for variety.

    Thanks for sharing.

The "Movin" shot of Nastya is GREAT!thumb.gif

For Dasha the last one is also my favorite, but I'd like to see it in full color too.

#4 - The girl is really pretty. Somehow she reminds me of my mother when she was really young.

#7 - What a wonderful photo and what a horrible b&w treatment to her face skin. Yuri, could you post this in original, unedited form, please?

I don't like the water bottle...and I don't know who said it...but that black thing on her wrist is an eye sore (I agree).

But I like all the pictures.

I really like #4. I like the up close, tightly cropped images and this is is very nice. I would be interested in what it looked like in B+W, medium to high contrast
