Glossy screen or standard???

I'm about to pull the trigger on a MacBook Pro- and I'm wondering what the concensus is on the screen choice? The glossy looks nice and the colors pop- but is there a downside to this choice??? I'll be using it for photo viewing and editing- as well as music and web surfing... just curious about the ups and downs to the glossy screens from a photography point of view??? :dunno
