Yuri, you know we all like your posts. Mostly because you do photograph beautiful women. You also have a good technique to process faces. However, I have noticed this on numerous times your B&W conversions are strage for the better word. I cannot explain it or detect why they turn the way that do. It must be a plugin or some technique you are using.

Here is a very simple conversion.
My aim here was to:
* keep the tonal range,
* keep the face nice and smooth
* retain the nature of the soft flowing hair

Here is your conversion for direct comparison.

Please remember this is not to take away anything from your photo which I think is fantastic. This is to encourage you to work on B&W technique

This photo was very simple to process as it was an excellent capture in the first place. All I did is contrast adjustment and some selective sharpeaning.

I don't get to play with such pictures much so it was a learning experiance with a Model and CS2. :ivar

Did one color and one BW Version.

I played with color tone/skin softness and spot healed skin blems...white balance...USM.





This one (from above mod shot)I used my new BW Styler Plug-in with following settings:
Film = Illford HP5 Plus
ISO 100
Development = Extra Long
Paper Grade = Grade 3 - Special
Color Tone = Bromoil



How did I do for a 1st time?
