I'm leaving out Q, my endurance horse. Here is big mama Ember, coming 16 yrs old. She's had two foals, the younger belongs to a friend. She's an Arabian, the sire is a Lipizzaner.

Second foal, Hawkeye, now 6 months, half that in this photo.

Full brother and sister, a couple of days ago. Someday he'll be light grey or white.

Sire Pluto Carrma III, who lives in Arizona. This photo won the Nature/professional division of the Black and White Spider awards for 2007. I had three others make it as nominees in three categories.

I always love seeing your horse pictures. They are simply stunning! Congratulations on the well deserved Spider award for that total stunner of Pluto Pharm III.

Shooting that foal was like shooting a playing card turned sideways. A real challenge when they're that skinny!

I'll try to post more often. I got spooked when a disreputable individual ripped off two of my images from a forum and marketed them extensively, through at least 12 eBay IDs and other places like her website. Avoid "the Critter Connection", she's done it to many of us, taking low res images and applying PS filters to make "art". 100% overlay to the originals.

Thanks for all the kind words! Pluto Carrma III's nickname is "Pooka", he is sure getting a lot of attention. You should have seen the "before" on that photo, bad background incarnate. And I did the replacement with selection rather than masking, now that I can mask I shudder thinking about the time it took.

Thanks, Greap! Yeah, Cookie, Hawkeye is a winter "plush toy", and turned back into a bay for now. And my hound dawg went to a family with 2 college student sons and a fenced half acre, they love to camp, mom endurance-rides, and they've had a lot of tragedy lately, so he's a cheerful addition to their household. Here's a shot of him though.
