I payed for thee reprints myself, but would the smugmug guarantee cover it for me in the future?
But we'd STRONGLY prefer if you had your galleries set to Proof Delay: http://smugmug.jot.com/Pros for happy customers, and to solve cropping issues if they every come up

i understand proof dely, thats so i can check out the orders, and get the original files uploaded for printing right,
but i have a question about auto color, i used a local print company's auto color before and the pics turned out just WAY to bright, when the turned their auto funtion off and reprinted them they were fine, will i have this same problem here, or should all just be printed out auto color, why wouldnt i want a client to use true color
oh and under croping, the client can crop the picture any way they want right, what if i dont want them to crop it, can i turn that off, and how big of a file do i need to upload to be able to print a clear say 20x30 ,
and lastly the other problem i have seen is if the file is to big, say big enough to print a 20x30 if they use the same file to print a 4x6 will some of the picture be cut out, thats a nother problem i had with the local print company any insight you can give me would be great, i know its a lot and i thank you for your help

Hi
Andy is the best person to answer your question about true v. auto color. But if you haven't already, you may want to check out our help pages.

Scroll down to "Getting Great Prints." Some great info there.
You cannot turn off cropping in the shopping cart. Sorry bout that. Here's a link to our minimum requirements:

Bill:
There's NO reason NOT to use proof delay
1) you SEE the customer's crop. YOU can adjust it if need be. PLEASE PLEASE use it
Read my two pieces on Proof Delay here:
http://smugmug.jot.com/WikiHome
2) Auto Color. This is very sophisticated. Please read my piece here: http://smugmug.jot.com/WikiHome We have near ZERO returns on our auto color. This is out of Millions of prints in a year. Nearly ALL returns are from when a pro chooses True Color. Why? Most folks have monitors that are too bright, they don't sharpen well enough, and they don't get the colors accurate. Our Auto Color does. Try it
3) file size and print size. The same file can print a 20x30 and a 4x6. But when your customer wants an 8x10, they have to crop. Or you do. Why? More here:

I hope this helps!
