Just recieved my Canon 100mm macro today. This is the first photo I've processed. I also used my 430ex bounced off of a white poster board to the left.

Cool shot. That's a really nice lens. It's on my wish list. I would like to see more when you get around to shooting them.thumb.gif

    Hi, Steven

Nice lines and good sharpness in the zone! Looks like you didn't use a fill reflector on this one - did you try any shots with a reflector?

Ive had that lens for about 2 years now, and I love it & use it a lot! Good choicemwink.gif

Ooo! Ooo! That's nice! Very nice! clap.gif

A Macro Lens is next on my list... too bad it's unlikely I'll get one any time soon with my budget. :(

rolleyes1.gif What is it with Pennies?
That was my 1st test of my Sigma f2.8 EX DG 105mm Macro!

I almost got a EF 100mm but got to use one and didn't like the build or cost that much.

Sigy is nicer build...just as sharp and about $100-$200 cheaper. IMHO
AF isn't important with macro either cuz MF is best.
Either way macro is fun no matter what glass ya got! thumb.gif

^Yeah, the Sigma was one I considered, but I really didn't like the extending front element. Then I looked at the Sigma 150 macro, but it was too expensive.

And yes, Skippy, you will definately see many more macros from me! I've been looking for anything to shoot with this lens.:D

    Thanks for the comments!

Just for fun, I thought I'd post a photo of the set-up. I enjoy these types of pictures, so I figured I'd take one. Nothing special, but it is sorta interesting.
