    Cool shot (pun intendedmwink.gif) Kdog. I really like how the people put the scale of the glacier in perspective. The blue ice is pretty neat too.

    Man that thing looks big. Ive never seen a glacier. I would love to hear the noise they say they can make.

    Thanks for the nice comments, folks. Glaciers are pretty amazing.

    Gus, the glacier noise you've probably heard of is when glaciers that end in the sea "calve" off huge hunks of ice. When the big hunks hit the water, it sounds like an explosion. Very impressive.

    Unfortunately, there's nothing in the pictures to give it scale. But I'm going to estimate that spire that broke off was three stories tall.
